BANGLADESH, Dhaka, 29th February 2019 - Apurba presented a paper titled “The challenges and solutions to computerization of Bengali language” at the Regional IML Two Day Conference 2020, Dhaka. This conference was organized by the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka, on February 28-29, 2020. The main theme of the conference was "Foreign Language Education for Sustainable Development Goals".
This paper focused on the challenges to computerize the Bangla language and how to overcome them. This paper presented Apurba's recent work for Bangla language processing that includes development of Bangla Language Models, Bangla Corpus, Sentiment Analysis Corpus, Word Stemming Corpus and advances on the Bangla Optical Character Recognizer.
